Thy Will Be Done On Earth is for those who are serious about living life in a way that pleases God. Professional athletes spend far more time practicing the fundamentals than amateurs. Likewise, great musicians spend countless hours practicing the basics. Serious Christians choose to understand and work on the most important Christian disciplines.
Through the development of two graphic models the author provides insights regarding the interrelationship of fundamentals of the Christian faith.
The “Christian Life Model” portrays the life of a disciple through the interrelationship of prayer, the Word of God, obedience, fellowship, witnessing, and intimacy with God. The result is a life which emits the fragrance of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14). This model is about victorious Christian living. Included in this section are the author’s detailed acrostics for fellowship, obedience, power, prayer, witness, and the Word.
The “Christian Guidance Model” shows the interrelationship of the Christian Life Model and one’s inner conviction, Godly counsel, and the Lordship of Jesus Christ. All of this is shown against the setting of natural abilities and spiritual gifts, as well as opportunities and circumstances. The final result is a disciple who has morphed into one of Christ’s jewels (Malachi 3:17). The model provides a clear path to effective decision-making which pleases God.
In summary, this book enables the reader to more fully obey the command of Ephesians 5:17 – “Do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
