One of my favorite galleries for super exclusive 21st century design pieces is Industry Gallery in New York, Washington DC, and Los Angeles. In fact, its owner, Craig Appelbaum, is a very dear friend of mine. I feature Industry Gallery in my book, and constantly use their pieces in my designs, because the artists and designers represented by Craig are unparalleled, innovative and ground-breaking.
It was then, not surprisingly, that Lady Gaga chose one of Industry Gallery’s designers Benjamin Rollins Caldwell, to provide the most unique and artistic piece of her long awaited come back: the celebrated Binary Chair. Gaga sat naked on Benjamin’s chair to pose for the first promo of her new album ARTPOP and to announce the new single Applause.
